Very close to Yufuin station, within walking distance. The owner not able to speak English but he used application to translate, very impressive! Onsen can be reserved for your own private evening and next morning. Great service!

Our room at this hotel was spacious and comfortable, large by Japanese standards. The main downside is that the aircon didn't work, so we had the window open regularly and this let in a smell of sewage prevalent in the hotel car park area. (This was not the usual sulfurous smell we experienced commonly when touring Kyushi, but definitely a sewage

Room is large & clean with nice view of rice fields & mountain. Excellent onsen both in-door & out-door with nice views also. However, the out-door one is inside the building, just with no windows. They provide free shuttle to pick you up from Yufuin station and also to drop you off/pick up from the shopping street.

you can see Mt Yufu. The meals were excellent and the best on our trip.
Only stayed one night so not sure how far it would be to walk to town.
