The owners - Sizuo and his wife Keiko are perfect, very kind and helpful people, they are very hospitable, they answer you at all your questions about interesting places.   We spent 1 night in the hotel/Ryokan. Really nice to stay in quite a traditional accommodation. The staff spoke fair English, by Japanese standards. Was very cute that my name was up on a welcome sign and next to my shoe spot.   An increadibly great place! Typical Japanese-style rooms. Very clean and very quiet, a paradise after coming from Toyko. In foot-walking distance to the train stations and also to the sightseeing spots, although there are busses.
