The decor of the room, en suite bathroom, communal area and breakfast room was beautiful - we were astonished how well appointed it all was for the price. It looked like something from an Ideal Home magazine - lovely furniture, flooring and curtains. We even had a four poster bed, and everything was a delight to the eye, and looked brand new and pristine. The bathroom was fantastic. The breakfasts were wonderful, and beautifully presented and served. We were in the heart of Viterbo, and so wit.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and immaculate, the dining area made us feel like we were dining in a castle, and the breakfasts were delicious! Antonio was the perfect host and went out of his way to make sure that our stay there was as pleasant as possible. He supplied us with a map of Viterbo and highlighted all the must-see spots, he helped us carry our bags and he even escorted us to the gates of the city to help us find our way to the train s. Everything, this is a unique little hotel, the building is beautiful, a little difficult to locate but well worth it, my GPS units had difficulty updating as I drove along the narrow streets , if you can phone before you arrive so the owner can direct you. also try out his lovely restaurant nearby. Provides extra dimension to visit to Rome. Convenient base for trips to Tarquinia (Etruscan underground graves with "cave" paintings) and Caprarola and Bagnaia (splendid Italian hillside "water gardens")Viterbo itself quite interesting walled town. A splendid location in a medieval city within the city ramparts. Exceptionally friendly and helpfull staff. The nearby restaurant "La Chimera" serves excellent food at reasonable prices and is run by the same people. Good value for city centre in Viterbo but a lot of stairs, some ensuite rooms have stairs to bathroom. Greeter very friendly but no manned front desk. DIY entry and exit. Associated restaurant - Chimera excellent. Cozy hotel equip with all the amenities you'll need. The rooms are well decorated, clean, and spacious. The hotel is a little difficult to locate but worth the find. Host was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were newly renovated and very clean. Free on-site garage for parking. Lovely spot, the owner is very nice, great location, has parking!! The building in general is very interesting. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Wonderful location, Friendly stuff. Nicely furnished, attentive staff. Very central location, cozy. Todo maravilloso... Nothing. Absolutely nothing--our stay here was perfect!. For someone not used to it the very narrow road(s) and same combined with a small garage, it is an adventure to get a medium sized car inside. As I do not like sweets that much, some bread, cheese : ham or other for breakfast would have been appreciated. The breakfast was Italian - rather light for the fuller northern appetite. No elevator - but rooms are on first floor so there is only 1 flight of stairs. It was a bit difficult to find. Very narrow streets if you are driving your own car. Just a litlle overpriced (about 5/10 euros over). The bed and breakfast is hard to find and not well marked. Very poor breakfast for that stay price. A bit of a challenge to find, but turns out to be near some excellent ristoranti.
