My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Moresco. We even changed our itinerary so that we could return and spend the last couple of days in Italy at the Hotel Moresco. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. The Staff are multi lingual and very courteous and friendly. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room with an abundant selection of food and even eggs to order. Location is perfect for those that do not wish to be in the thick of the touristy area, but within walking distance to all the major attractions. Otherwise, a water taxi out side the Hotel door will take you wherever you wish to go. Only a few minutes walk from the Bus and Railway Stations. Recommendations for Dinner by Hotel staff proved excellent too. Highly Recommend Hotel Moresco.
Hotel Moresco is perfect for couples who are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation. The staffs are extremely pleasant and friendly. They speak good English and willing to share their tips and advice in exploring Venice. Their evening shift staffs, Mr Lorenzo and his receptionist colleague is very helpful, pleasant, friendly and kind.
For first timers to Venice, locating this hotel could be very challenging. Probably the hotel could put some signage to guide the tourists.
Good location on canal. Very clean. Staff was very helpful. We stayed in the junior suite and it was very spacious.

The hotel is perfectly located, a couple of minutes walk after getting off the bus. Breakfast is great and the room is perfect too.

As close to a perfect experience as you'll have when traveling
Due to the hotels location being on the west side of Venice we decided to take the land bus from the airport. This only took 20 mins and the hotel was only 5 minutes from the bus station and very easy to find. We were made very welcome on arrival and even though we arrived two hours earier than the prescribed check in time we were given a welcome drink and within 10 minutes allocated and shown to our room. The room was clean, spacious with all the modern facilities you would expect. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served between 07.00 and 11.00, and a decent choice of cold and hot food. We loved the location being only a 5 minute walk to Campo Santa Margherita which had numerous bars and restaurants in and around it, and only another15 minute walk to Rialto. So the best of both worlds.
The tables in the breakfast area were very close together which caused a few breakages whist we were there and made it challenging to move around the room.
The service is incredible good. The room is perfect. The bathroom has a lot of space The view from the window is wonderful.

Every member of the staff that we encountered was most friendly and helpful. The room was modern, nicely furnished and included a Nespresso capsule coffee machine. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

Staff is attentive. Our room was absolutely spectacular with a balcony and stunning décor. The room and bathroom were both quite large, with a huge bathtub. Breakfast is excellent, including eggs cooked to order and specialty coffees plus a lot more. They always have fruit and snacks out to enjoy and have a nice happy hour with food and beverage. Location is nice, albeit still a bit of a walk from the main sites, but close to the train station. One of the best hotels we have stayed in, especially for Europe.
Ladies should bring their own hair conditioner (other toiletries were all nice but this was lacking). Note that they do not have their own porter service, though they can arrange one with notice (though in our case he was not at the train station to greet us as agreed), so be prepared to lug your luggage over a few bridges to get there (but hey, this is Venice!).
Service was first rate. Breakfast was plentiful with good selections. Staff was patient and really helpful with every question. Good location.

The remodel was tasteful and well-done. The staff was always available and went out of their way to assist you. The location was away from the heavy tourist traffic, yet still near great restaurants and historical sites.

Exceptional staff. Attended to every need, energetic and friendly. Truly one of the best experiences I have had, as a seasoned traveler, from a service standpoint.
Not a great view. The other side of the canal is rundown - hopefully it will be fixed up in the future. Not Hotel Moresco's fault, but dampened the benefit of a canal-view room.
It was a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful hotel. The room was spacious and elegantly finished. The staff were friendly and helpful. The treatment was first class starting with the welcome drink in the garden! It is located within walking distance to the train station, which is very welcome in Venice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Moresco and would highly recommend it.

Quiet location. Off tourist route.
This hotel has recently been updated to include several "green" features as well as traveler conveniences. The hotel is computer wired to control use of electricity and a/C. If you open a window or door, your a/c shuts off. They can see which window you have open from their computer in the reception area. I the bathroom there is colored led lights in the bathroom which continually change colors, very soothing. There is also a hard wired outlet that accomodates either European or American electrical appliances..with just a flick of a switch. No need to carry converters. The lights in the hallways dim for energy savings and are on a motion detector. When you step out of the elevator onto your floor they brighten to allow you to see your way. Also there is an electronic pad on the wall next to each room door. Just hold the key in front of the pad and your door opens. There is planty of room in the bathroom, much more than most European hotel bathrooms. All packed into a beautiful elegant surroundings. From the main entrance to the courtyard garden, this hotel is a special respit in the busy city of Venice. And very convenient to the cruise port as well, just drop your bags and go out and enjoy your day in Venice.
I would suggest they hotel consider small ice buckets for customer's use in their rooms. Ice was provided in a cereal size bowl and melts within minutes. Does not last nearly long enough to get a water or soda open. :)
Excellent hotel, located near to the Piazza le Roma, with friendly, helpful, staff. The room was comfortable and the bathroom spacious with great a shower. Good selection for breakfast.

The only down side to our stay was we arrived before our room was available, however the staff made us wekcome and provided us with much needed cold drinks.
Loooooooooved the luxurious accomodations!! And the study... Wow. Felt like I was at home! Like a drink? No problem. Champagne for breakfast? We have that every day here @ Hotel Moresco. Tired and just want to chill? Prop your feet up here in the private garden. What can I get you? Shopping? Take a right out the door. You'll be there in no time. Feels like a luxurious and cozy home with loads of privacy. No detail left un-turned. You have a hard time leaving.
I really wish they had a history on the building. Yeah. That's the only thing I can think of.
The location is superb , just out of it enough , yet the water taxi we booked from the airport to the hotel was a fantastic journey . The standard of the hotel , not just the decor but the attire the staff presented themselves in was absolutely superb. All in all absolutely lovely Hotel, will definitely be back that i am sure of.

Staff recognised we were exhausted and were sympathetic and helpful. The garden was a peaceful haven and the recommendations for dining were excellent. Felt thoroughly pampered and carefully attended to. Lift in the building is also a big asset. Staff couldn't have been more helpful
Breakfast was fine but not stunning though 2nd day was better than first. And with the care and attention we received I guess we expected brilliant. So a very small criticism

The staff were very helpful and answered any questions we had. The room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent although the space for eating was limited (as it was raining and so no-one could sit outside).
When we arrived, we were invited to have a drink in the bar while we waited for our forms to be completed and our room to be arranged - whilst the orange juice and jam tarts were lovely, this took up 20 mins of our limited time in Venice and I would have preferred to have gone straight to our room.
The hotel was great! The stuff is sooooo friendly and helpful, rooms are soooo beautiful, even you dont want to walk on the street, but just want to stay in this beautiful hotel, brekfast was not that much various, but so delicious and even champagne was. They can cook different variations of omelet with bacon or cheese, and make a cofee latte or capuccino. Location was so good. Veru close to san marco if you go by feet 15 min or if you prefer to take a vaparetto, also id very very close

Ground floor rooms offer little privacy (we asked to be moved to an upper floor) and the location of the hotel is not convenient for those who wish to be close to the Grand Canal or within an easy walk of the Rialto Bridge or St Marc's Square.
This hotel is charming! Upon arrival, the very friendly and helpful staff were there to open the doors and offered us a cold drink and a place to sit and rest during check-in. The rooms were very clean and well decorated. The breakfast had a good variety, and eggs could be made to order. You could eat the breakfast inside, but it was so delightful outside in the garden area. While some might not like that the hotel was not close to the main tourist area, we preferred the location because it was quiet, and also very convenient to the bus and train stations. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel, but note that it is over a couple of bridges with stairs so pulling luggage can be a challenge and a porter may be a good investment. Anyway, the walk to the heart of the tourist area is about 25 minutes and there are lots of shops and restaurants along the way, and other sights to keep the walk interesting....or you can take a water bus or water taxi. Our group of 6 all agreed that this hotel made our trip to Venice very enjoyable and we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Staff very friendly. Generous sized rooms. Near P'le Roma (bus station and vaporetto terminals) and railway station. Good breakfast. And Venice is stunning.
Television offered (literally) over 100 German channels, but only BBC world and a couple of other English language channels. Air conditioning a little too efficient.
