  The location seems to be its strongest point as it is close to the bus and train stations (about a ten minute casual walk). It is also near the main sights and very close to the Grand Canal where you can dine at local restaurants for a very reasonable 20 euro or so. The staff are tremendously helpful, all you need to do is to ask them for - Staff were very friendly and helpful, I did not arrive in Trieste until midnight as was delayed en route - despite the inconvenience to them they stayed open for me to check in. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice of breads, savouries and tea/coffee. Great location, only minutes from centre and train station, hotel is on very quiet road. Hotel very clean, including shared bathrooms

  Nedelko (Reception staff member) was smiling, funny & helpful - he helped us learn a few Italian words & answered our lame tourist questions! Rooms are spacious & double glazed windows help shut out traffic noise. Tip - ask for a room on the first floor as there is no elevator.
