We spend a couple of wonderfull days, very nice place to visit the local wineries like Barolo, the owners are very helpfull in recommending the right placies to visit that you won't find yourself, upon arrival you find a delicious basket with local products.The house is charming, I definitely will stop there again for degustation -

Love this place, winter cabin meets luxury. Great location as its a 1 minute walk into the centre of town and the chalet is connected (underground) to a hotel with wonderful facilities which are available to use. Stay in and cook yourself or head out to the many restaurants that are a stones throw.

We loved the apartment. It is decorated in a beautiful traditional style, using modern materials. Very clean. The Gros family were so helpful and friendly. Guilia helpfully picked us up from Oulx staion, and later took us to supermarket for a first shop. Opposite ski lift.

Excellent check-in experience, very good, competent service. The receptionist was efficient and anticipated all my needs before I even had to ask. She showed me to the room and showed me how to work the heating system and the television etc.

This is a truly unique hotel, converted from an old pottery factory. It has been beautifully done with great attention to detail. The rooms are luxurious and spacious and the whole place has a designer feel about it but at a very reasonable price. The owner, Marcos, is so polite and friendly. Being a biker himself he gave us great advice on rides in the area and where to eat. There is also safe indoor parking for bikes!
All in all it was a pleasure to stay there and we will definitely be going

We chose Stresa Residence for two reasons - (1) it was an apartment rather than a hotel and had a full kitchen; and (2) it was less expensive than most of the hotels we looked at as well. This exquisitely renovated castle provides every luxury and is a great base for exploring the beautiful Barolo wine country. Nonetheless, the high point for us was the food. Chef (and owner) Denise Pardini, whose resume includes at stint at Chez Panisse, has figureed out how to brighten traditional Piedmontese cuisine for the modern palette. Everything was delicious.
