  We were impressed by the warmth and hospitality and helpfulness of the owner/concierge. He speaks English, and kept the front desk open late (after 10 pm) so that we could check in late. Our plane landed at 10 pm at the Venice Marco Polo Airport and we called the hotel as soon as we arrived to ask him to stay open until we could arrive. He did. He provided a map o - Excellent place to stay when visiting Venice. Large comfortable room, good bathroom, good breakfast with fresh fruit, fresh everything, including eggs cooked specially for you. Very helpful and friendly welcome, which continued throughout the stay. Leave the car at the hotel parking, there are two bus lines, one opposite the hotel, the other 5 minutes walk (bus ride is approx 15 minutes). The buses run well into the late evening, so no problem to get back. The buses also go to the station and

  Good size apartment, easy to get to Venice - We rented a 1 bedroom apartment for 2 nights travelling with a 1 year old child. The apartment was immaculately decorated with towels and bed linen provided. It was quiet at night time and the owner pointed us in the right direction for restaurants, supermarket and local bus to Venice.
