The drive with Massimo from the car park to our accomodation was exciting. We were a bit unlucky in that the village was enveloped in cloud, but that made the drive more exciting. Think very narrow cobble-stoned streets, slippy with the moisture, driving at speed and missing corners, parked cars etc. by millimetres. Also, returning to the apartment from a restaurant at midnight was strange and eerie, think medieval village with others looming up out of the fog/ cloud and only able to see a few feet. todos opiniões »
The village of Erice is absolutely beautiful high up with the most amazing views and interesting buildings. The apartment is tastefully designed with excellent facilities and comforts. Massimo met us as we arrived at the hilltop location and helped us to park our car in a free car park and then took us and our luggage in his car to the apartments. He recommended very good restaurants and was generally extremely helpful.
Our two day stay was perfect.
Charming room, well equipped kitchen, and even though breakfast was not included we were given breakfast supplies. Massimo the owner was exceptionally sweet and helpful. We arrived late on a stormy and foggy night, and he waited for us at town entrance, took us to a free parking place and from there by car to the hotel, and even found us an open restaurant so we don't go to sleep hungry :).
We'll surly come back again when the weather is nicer!.
Comfortable renovated apartment in a 500 year old building located with-in the wall of the medieval town of Erice and adjacent to the main pedestrian area. Fantastic location already but best of all just around the corner is Maria Grammatico's pastry shop-oh la la! Massimo provides amazing service helping with parking then transporting luggage and people through the narrow streets to and from the apartment. If visiting Erice stay here.
Unusual medieval town on top of a 2500 ft mountain. Lots of historic
places and beautifully restored streets. Stunning views over the
Tyrrhenian and Trapani. The Apartment is very quiet and relaxing and
very well appointed. Massimo, the manager, extremely helpful. It's
located near the main square near the highest point of a steep town.
Visit nearby Trapani which has been very well restored.
Massimo was the perfect host, helping us with luggage to & from the parking lot. The apartment was large, beautifully decorated, well equipped, clean and quiet. It was charming, built on a centuries-old stone house and completely renovated to modern standards with a private terrace overlooking the town. This is one of the nicest places we stayed in Sicilia.
The B&B is situated in the center of Erice, which is very nice. The owner of the B&B picks you up from the parking outside the city because there's only local traffic allowed (and the streets are very narrow).
The bathroom was really nice, very good shower!
There's a nice terrace outside the apartment (to share with another apartment).
Fantastic location, extremely friendly host Massimo, well-thought-
through facilities, and the little town of Erice is unknown jewel
altogether. History, old town charm, unbelievable views - it's all
here. Don't miss Erice if you plan your trip to Sicily! And
don't hesitate booking your stay at Erice Pietre Antiche. You
won't regret.
Our host, Massimo, was very helpful and efficent - meeting us at the entrance to town and guiding us through the narrow streets to a free parking place, then fully briefing us on shops and restaurants, etc. The apartment was very spacious considering we were in a medieval building in the heart of town.
Everything about our stay, friendly owners, picked us up from car park and back when we left, very comfortable, gave us ideas for great food which it was, great location, great sites, easy walking lane ways, would recommend to mature, family and young, you'll have a fantastic time.
Beautiful apartment, could happily stay here for a week. Fantastic English speaking owner who couldn't do enough to help, meeting us at the entrance to Erice, showing us where to park and driving us and our luggage to the door. Lovely touch providing coffee, milk etc.
The apartment was very clean and roomy. It had a charming courtyard and was in a nice location for getting around. The owner was very helpful and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. We were very pleased with the place and would recommend it to others.
Charming and helpful host. Beautiful- and tasteful-apartment with pretty courtyard.Wonderful to be able to do some cooking and make tea and coffee.
Erice is a pretty hilltop town.you will not be bothered by traffic or rowdy neighbours or holiday makers.
Tastefully converted building in atmospheric medieval village. The
owner, Massimo, was very helpful. Eerie place at night after the day-
trippers had left - empty atmospheric cobbled streets with swirling
mist. Really an amazing place.
Truly enchanting b&b in a magical place. Massimo is a great host (he picked us up with his own car and booked us a great table at a wonderful restaurant). The apartment is spacious and very tastefully decorated/furnished.
Very nice house with thick walls (good for temperature and sound) and a roof terrace. Large apartment. Good bed! Very silent at night. Very friendly owner who picks you up from the parking lot outside Erice.
Beautiful small apartment in a wonderful location.Excellent support from manager making a short stay as perfect as possible. Punctual taxi at 4.15 a.m. back to airport.
having 4 rooms for less than a hotel room. being met by the owner who drove us and our luggage to the B&B and back to our car which he had found free parking for.
Charming, spacious apartment in the ancient town. Quiet, comfortable, clean, well furnished. Massimo (mgr.) absolutely wonderful in every way. Highly recommend!.
This place has amazing atmosphere, cozy and quiet appartments with very nice furnishings. Massimo was very helpful. I definitely recommend for stay in Erice.
ownership and staff, location, terrace, apartment, little kitchen for coffee and snacks, proximity to main piazza, courtyard, atmosphere.
Beautiful room and place situated in Erice which is also beautiful. the Manager, Massimo, was very helpful with luggage and parking.
Everything. Stunning location and facilities. Charming and helpful host.
Historic building, stylish, spacious. A very special place.
The location was ideal.
Massimo was very helpful and friendly.
The accommodations were spacious, quiet and a perfect setting.
Ownwers very friendly and helpful. Lovely apartments, with all facilities. Steps away from main piazza. Want to go back.
Great located appartaments in the centre of the small historic town equipped with all you need.
Gorgeous Italian hill town. People very friendly. Our hos Massimo went
out of his way for us.
great apartment. location terrific. beautiful courtyard. super private. good value.
Massimo was a great host. Apartment was very comfortable and in a great location.
Great place, a little paradise up in the mountains.
Location
Space within appartment
Helpful owners.
Amazing place in a beautiful city!!!.
Amazing stay and amazing owner!.
Excellent - highly recommended.
Quiet. Picturesque. Private.
Wonderful location.
Everything.
Spacious.
Not a lot,we were unlucky with the storm, but that was weirdly exciting given the location in the clouds.
Nothing bad to say on the hotel.
The town itself is not very lively on evenings out of the high season, so consider sleeping in Trapani for more evening activities, and arriving there for a day trip.
Nothing really except having to decide upon an arrival time in advance but this is just part of booking an apartment. A mobile phone is essential. A microwave in the kitchenette would be helpful.
Literally impossible to drive to unless you're a native. Located in
the pedestrian zone, you need Massimo to help with luggage coming and
going. No wi-fi which we use for excursion planning.
nothing to report.
Erice is very remote. We were a bit nervous when we started winding up to the top. It has an amazing castle and great views but only about 200 residence so there are not many original shops. It was perfect for our one night stop but I don't think there is a lot going on for a much longer stay.
Better if you have a car- we did not realise how far we were from Trapani.Access is by bus (restricted and no evening busses) or bus and cable car (last one about 8 pm);this makes excursions elsewhere lengthy and quite pricey.
Erice caters to tourists - cafes and restaurants touristy only a small alimentari. Best to shop elsewhere and self cater.
If you don't have a car, i suggest one or two night's stay.
Poor selection of restaurants in village.
Don't look any further; this is the place you want to be. There's nothing we did not like.
Wifi only works in the courtyard.
No negatives.
nothing.
Breakfast was poor.
We had to leave.
everything was great!!.
Weather wasn't great while we where there.
A little dark.
The church bells ringing every 15 minutes all night long. Be sure to take earbuds with you.
Nothing.
Hard to find due to the numbering on the street and no Italian sim card
to arrange meeting. Also the internet didn't work. He said they were
switching companies, which to me means discount, but alas there was none.
