  This is a really lovely bed and breakfast. Marta is a wonderful hostess. Our flight was delayed, so we didn't pitch up at Marta Guest House until 2:30 am. Marta was gracious, welcoming and understanding in this horrible circumstance. I will not forget her coming out into the parking lot in her night clothes and welcoming us with whispers. Breakfast was memorab - Marta is so lovely, A wonderful warm hostess. We had a beautiful room with a balcony with views of the green hills surrounding Lucca. Every room is beautiful. Marta's villa is located an easy short 10 km drive from Lucca with onsite parking. The breakfast was the best we had in our 4 week tour around France & Italy. Beautiful. Even the towels & bedlinen were good quality cotton. We would certainly return to Marta's if ever again in Lucca. We can definitely recommend a stay at Marta Gue

  The staff were very helpful and spoke great English! They provided us with a map of the city and pointed out the main attractions, they helped us make reservations in another city for the following night, made a suggestion for entertainment at night that we totally enjoyed.
