the owner/staff was extremely helpful the breakfast was brilliant asked several times did we want more and my family having large appetitites always want more but we werent made feel uncomfortable for saying yes the girl serving breakfast was very nice also. triple room was spacious and clean and location was perfect right on the quay,. I like everything about the guest house we had are own keys so we can come and go as we please and as for waterford is a great please to go and i would go again.and the staff of guest house was very help full.
todos opiniões » I honestly couldn't say anything bad about this place. Our stay was perfect. You. couldn't meet friendlier staff anywhere else. I would highly recommend staying here. Host Michael was friendly, approachable, and eager to help. The location was perfect for the purposes of our trip, i.e. close to all the night life and the waterside. Fabulous freshly cooked breakfasts. Clean and friendly staff. Way better than any budget accommodation I've ever stayed in. A pleasant surprise indeed. Friendly reception - very helpful (with suitcase, visitor info & catching bus to next destination) Lovely hot shower with good pressure. We felt very relaxed here the manager was very welcoming, perfect distance from everything and priced very reasonably. Will stay again :). We didn't find the room comfortable at all and not too clean either. We feel that now and again some money should be invested in redecorating the rooms. As it is it's just a money-making set up. Breakfast. the fact that we werent staying longer. A very minor quibble was the lack of a remote control for the TV, although Michael assured me that this was in the process of being rectified. Not that I had much time to spend watching TV, anyway!. The room was a bit cold. The windows are like paper but at the same time was happy we had one :). Vent in room didn't fully close it let in a draft and a lot of noise from the street!. A little bit cold in room. Nothing. The room was a bit old, needs a little paint job. The headboard was loose so it made noises every time I moved. As a mature couple we found it their was a lot of street noise. Carpet in need of replacing in Dining room Stairwell. The place is a little run down and could do with some maintenance however it is still clean and comfortable. Parking. More love to detail concerning handling and some repairs wouldn't harm. It was rather warm. A simple fan would have been very welcome. No secure parking. Nothing. Very busy road. Rooms don't get quiet until well after midnight. Then street activity starts very early. The room was freezing until quite late in the evening, when the hearing came on I warmed up quite quickly though. I doubt I would stay there again I stayed in room 202 and the bathroom and the carpet were both filthy a bigturnoff .my advice if you're staying here take a pair of flip flops as I did as god knows what you might pickup off the floor also a set of earplugs are advisable too . The place had an dirty feeling and was not impressed really at all with the room. Also very thin walls and could hear everything in other rooms. The beds were VERY uncomfortable - could feel the springs poking through. The room was rather run down - a coat of paint ( to replace the peeling paint) and a general tidy up required. The room was very noisy due to air conditioning or similar which roared outside all night. The lighting in the room poor - couldn't read. Certainly would not recommend this place to others. You get what you paid for: cracks on walls, limited heating, smell of tobacco in the corridor, basic furniture... the climb to my room on the top floor. No parking facilities. It cost an extra Euro 5.- per night. The guest house should reimburse the customers. The guy on the desk gave our spare key to another guest. While we were asleep we woke to someone opening our door, I think the poor guy was more scared than us when he was yelled at. We did get an apology in the morning, but still unhappy, couldn't get back to sleep thinking who else is coming into our room. it was filthy dirty. The punch hole in the bathroom door.the headboard was not attached to the bed causing it to rattle every time you moved. The room was above a ally way where people where smoking and noise was loud. The base of the bed was stained as was the carpet.the tap in the bathroom sink was loose. My room was spacious but very dirty.The mattress has seen better days,likewise the carpet and curtains.The whole building needs a total renovation.Also the bathroom facilities were totally unhygenic.ON a scale of 1-10 for bedroom hygiene -3.
