We went to this Hotel in Jun 2013 as a young couple and really liked the Hotel. The location is stunning, remote but right next to Golden Circle attractions and close enough to Reykjavik. My friend and I were upgraded as a very generous courtesy to a four-bedroom apartment with a private deck larger than my own home. It felt like a palace after the small rooms we'd been staying in for the previous week. The view was (is) beautiful, the apartment luxurious, and the staff professional and kind. On our final morning, we settled the account after breakfast and then stayed for as long as possible, reading and enjoying the quiet.
