  We had a nice time at Hotel Kelep. The bed is very comfortable, the staff is extremely friendly, definitely value for money, the chef makes delicious food (the best is the halászlé) and of course The Vine... The breakfast was good, not so much variety but plenty. They have a beautiful terrace where you can eat and a playground for children. The staff was ok, provided the information we asked and gave us a city map.

  The owner (the man) was very friendly (knows German and Hungarian, his wife knows English+.) It was VERY clean! The bedding smelled freshly washed. We slept in the 4-person unit that's in the tower. It had 2 stories, the top with 2 single beds, and the lower with 1 double bed. We had access to a refrigerator. The location is excellent. We really enjoyed it. - We received a warm welcome from our landlord, and the guesthouse is just at the end of this small town. His wife, who speaks English, was away, but he speaks good German. He recommended one of the many wine houses for a tasting, and he also arranged for us to visit a barrel maker in his small factory.

  Staff very friendly and helpful. Very nice and comfortable room. - Multilingual manager was terrific...offered to show us a hiking trail, made wine tasting reservations for us, etc. One of the other men loaned us his personal computer briefly. Very nice people. The view from our balcony was beautiful...the rivers join there.

And the owner, he is really special character in the most positive way! :) - I liked this hotel.   We stayed at Paulay Borhaz for two days and loved every minute of our visit. Peter and Linda are excellent hosts who makes you feel at home from the first minute. They are very friendly and helpful. The modern house is a reconstruction of the ancient family house made with great love and care. We spent two lovely evenings tasting wines in a cozy yard and - This is a fabulous choice for rest. Brand new, comfortable rooms, great service, excellent selection of own beautiful handmade wines . The owners was extremely friendly. If you are wine fan, or just want to get a long trip i am warmly recommend the Paulay Borhaz. I will back.

  I'm afraid that if I describe Böne Vendégház accurately, everyone will stay there and I won't be able to get a booking next time I'm in Tokaj! Excellent and very friendly welcome and service. Our checkin started in my very basic Hungarian, and went on in the member of staff's basic (but very good) English.
