  We upgraded to an executive room and it was lovely. Absolutely the best hotel bed I have ever slept in. We had a magnificent view over the Danube and the breakfast and evening facilities in the executive lounge were second to none. We had a lovely meal in Peppers restaurant and they had a very talented singer and piano player to entertain us. It was our first - This hotel provides good service at decent prices. We booked two executive rooms, which while relatively compact, provided all we needed. We arrived early, before our rooms were ready, but with our (discounted) exec rooms we spent some time on the excellent executive terrace & lounge, with free drinks and a great view of the river. This ia more of a big business hotel of course, but for us it was a usefull one-night stop on our Road Trip. Breakfast (also in the exec lounge) was quite good.

The concierge service was excellent, helped us book tickets for a boat cruise and recommended a restaurant that was excellent. There was live piano music in the evening in the lobby/bar area which made it really atmospheric and pleasant to have a drink there. We could not fault this hotel and will be sure to try and stay here when we visit this wonderful city again. We have already told all our friends how good Continental Hotel Zara was!

Nice mirror in the - Location is good (close to subway and railway station as well as to the main attractions and sightseeing routs), staff is also not bad, but we've got wrong tip on how to get to the funicular and were advised to buy tickets for hop-on/hop-off bus, but with no mentioning of the fact that price in hotel is higher than regular (and it's really weird even for Budapest).
