  Thomais, the hostess, was the kindest, most helpful person I have encountered in my 50 years of travel. She brought my clothes to a laundromat; mailed a rare fruit specimen (legally) to the United States; and when I lost my cellphone, picked it up (after I left Crete) and mailed it home. I was genuinely moved.   I recently (May 2013) went to Crete by myself prior to a business trip in Greece and as a woman traveling solo, I was most concerned with a safe and friendly place to stay at. After much research on the web I chose Sevach Apts based on previous reviews. Kostas and his family are the nicest people in the hospitality business that you will ever meet... o que as pessoas dizem » . They are friendly, attentive, extremely helpful and they care very much about their guests. My room was simple yet nicely decorated. It was cleaned - We have spent 5 days in the place and really enjoyed the location close to the sea. Just crossing the road takes to the beach and two restaurants nearby. There is a bus stop, several shops around and you can rent a car as well. The town is not noisy while still on a short distance to Chania. The closest beach is not a large one but it is still convenient and you can get in 10 minutes by bus to another one, much larger. Great food in local restaurants, nice location for a late walk.   Three or us lived in big house with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms - it was realy good price in town for those, who are looking for somthing different compares to standart hotels. When we looks around, souch a big place, we started to plan our next stay here, but with familys.
