The medieval aura that was surrounding the hotel was truly amazing.
At the same time, the feel of luxury and hospitality was there
throughout our stay, from the minor details in the room, up to the

The Mani Peninsula is rural and beautiful and well away from the normal holiday locations. Citta dei Nicliani is an enchanting retreat run by one caring family who really do understand the meaning of making the stay memorable. Nothing is too much trouble and mother, father, son and daughter all speak very good english. Breakfast is unbelievably good - you'll surely take a photograph. Would we ever go back - you bet! Great location in the heart of the old Town of Nafplio. Quiet and peaceful, but around the corner, is the center of the town. Our room is was very spacious, clean and well decorated. The Olympion Asty was a fantastic experience! The rooms were sparkling clean every day, the pool was perfect, we were in it all day long every day. And the food! It was excellent, as was the delicious breakfast.

The hotel has a pretty setting, on top of a hill above Old Olympia. The large swimming pool has great views (but not over Olympia btw) and is a marvellous place to wind down after some serious archaeology.
The personnel is very friendly and speaks good English.
The rooms are in separate buildings, a bit like a typical US motel, with only ground floor rooms. They are quiet, large and clean.

The hotel is right at the beach, so you can plunge into a lazy chair or dive into the sea after the decent (though not overly varied) breakfast.
Note that the hotel is at Kalogria beach, so not at the main beach of Stoupa. It is a 10 minute walk to get to the main boulevard.

Great little apartment & we really enjoyed our stay. Great views from the terrace & a walk of seconds to the sea for a swim. Should probably say the views were stunning.
