  very close to omonia metro station. very helpful staff and the price was super cheap for a room(22 euros/night). i stayed in Rome and Paris the same week as backpacker with 5 more people for the same price. not only that, i was given a room with balcony with the view of Athens. A comfy bed for the night was all we needed as we were sight seeing all day.   The staff is very helpful at all times and would recommend the best places in the city and how to reach, what to eat, etc. The price is really cheap and the hotel looks like a hostel for backpackers full of young people, so is highly recommended if you spend one or two nights and you don't want to spend a lot. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was nice and comfortable with AC , fridge and bathroom. The price was extreamly cheap and definately worth. There is free wifi in the whole hostel. It was a very quiet hostel, so a good base to relax at.

  The location of Athos Hotel is perfect. We took the metro from the airport to Syntagma Square, then walked only about three blocks to the hotel. It's close to restaurants, sights and shopping, but on a quieter side street. If you can get a room on the 4th floor you can get a spectacular view of the Parthenon from your window. Either way the view from the roof is just as beautiful.. The shopping streets are close by too, as well as lots of good eating options.
