  The hotel is an ideal spot for people who like busy places but want to sleep in peace and quiet. It’s a few steps from the busiest street I have seen in Crete. The beach is near, but quite narrow and full of bars a restaurants and sun beds. If you want a nice and emptier beach, you must walk much further or use a car, e.g. to Malia beach. . If your booking your holiday independently then book your transfers from and to airport via Resort Hoppa . For the two of us , it only cost £20 return . That's right ! £5 each way per person .   Without a doubt, the staff. We really enjoyed the time we spent at Amazones due to the warmth of Dejan and Dmitri who looked after us. The guests who stay there are lovely and there was a real family feel. - Excellent location, quiet area with breathtaking view to the sea! Most friendly staff, felt very comfortable.
