Located in the village of Hellenthal in the heart of the idyllic Eifel countryside, Authentiek Eifelhuis is a holiday home for up to 8 people set in a beautiful historical timber-framed house with an elegant mixture of old and new furnishings. As you enter this gorgeous property you will first notice the open-plan layout, striking dark wood flooring and the low ceilings with their prominent timber beams. Passing through the modern kitchen you will find it equipped with all the necessaries for preparing tasty meals. Beyond the kitchen is a chic dining area perfect for entertaining soirees of good food, drink and conversation. Atop the wooden staircase you will find a second, more informal dining space consisting of a high table and stools along with a huge and comfy seating area with a number of large sofas and a TV with satellite channels. Outside, the enticing leafy garden offers a degree of secluded privacy and a furnished terrace. Weather permitting, you are welcome to make the most of the barbecue facilities, which are available at no extra cost. As well as the slew of hiking and cycling opportunities offered by the picturesque woodland surroundings and the Eifel National Park, the Authentiek Eifelhuis’s location permits a wide variety of excursions. The Belgian border can be reached in less than half an hour’s drive, while the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France are all close enough to be visited on a daytrip. If you fancy heading into town, Cologne and a number of other prominent German cities can be reached in less than 90 minutes’ drive, including Aachen, Bonn and Koblenz. Closer to home, the medieval Wildenburg Castle is just 2.5 km away.
