  This is a very special place. Sleeping in a well-appointed cave was unusual, charming, comfortable and (welcome during a heatwave) cool. Beautiful bijou-garden setting, with interior design reflecting artistic flair of Alain, the very obliging and helpful host, who also served a superb breakfast. We would have disliked carrying our bags back up to... o que as pessoas dizem » the car parking space higher up the cliff, had not the Alain volunteered to do it for us. Apparently he is planning to install a lift within the next - This place is amazing - the rooms are luxurious (we especially loved the Victoria room, with its massive bathroom and shower), Alain is the most genial and interesting host. Breakfast is full of homemade treats - and good coffee! This is essentially a family home/estate which has been lovingly restored. The area and the town of Azay-le-Rideau are very beautiful, and convenient for visting wine producers too.

  I cannot praise this hotel highly enough. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful, the room well appointed if a bit on the small side, the hotel itself charming, and the food, though a trifle expensive, was amazing and beautifully served. Our dog was not only tolerated but allowed to feel equally at home in room, lounge and restaurant. This ... o que as pessoas dizem » hotel is a superb base from which to visit the Loire and many of its chateaux. - The room was large, particularly for France, and very well appointed. The staff were attentive, friendly, helpful and spoke excellent english. Unfortunately I only had time to have 1 dinner at the restaurant and it was magnificent - worthy of the visit by itself. The breakfasts were sumptuous too, especially the option of a cooked breakfast rather than the staples of bread, meats and cheese.

  A delightful experience all round. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. We had a garden view room which was wonderful with a comfy canopy bed. Yes it would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in room (see other reports), but it's available on room service and they were happy to provide us with a kettle. There are lovely countryside views - Just returned from a wonderful stay at this delightful Logis, located in beautiful countryside yet within ten minutes of towns and chateaux. The garden rooms are spacious and comfortable and the pool and tennis court immaculately maintained. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Excellent food is served in a very inviting room and I'm already looking forward to returning.

All the concerns for our small boy (renting the arm tube for swimming and high chair for dinner & breakfast) made our vacation more comfortable. The food was excellent, although the menu was limited and didn't change for the three nights we were there. Tours is a very upmarket and cosmopolitan area with lots of historical sites.   Wow!! The property is next to the river Loire and easy to find. On arrival we were met by the lovely friendly couple who own the Chambres dHotes working on their part of the caves. The place is stunning. Our room was at the back of the caves with a 4 poster bed and spa shower. When we turned the lights off to go to sleep it was black and silent. The breakfast was good and when the owners came back from an evening out they gave - Spending the night in a cave that feel modern and has a swimming pool is great! The owner is very welcoming. You feel like you are staying at a friend's home. The yard is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. You can bring a picnic with you. We were able to use the refrigerator. There is a large TV and leather sofa in the common area. The rooms are cozy and well decorated. The shower is nice also. The breakfast was good. Convienient location for seeing Amboise and nearby chateaux.

  Comfortable rooms with good service. Nice pool for the kids and very good restaurant. Also the location is well choosen. - The staff were kind enough to keep the restaurant open late for us as wehad gotten lost and arrived late that evening. They helped us with themenu as it was of course in french. The place is brand new and hasbeautiful grounds.
