  We loved our stay at Le Champ Des Oiseaux in beautiful and charming Troyes. The hotel was so historical but beautifully restored and very comfortable. We stayed in a room on the top floor and although there was a steep staircase to climb it was amazing and the view over the art museum next door was superb. In an intimate rustic setting the chef Rene made us feel as if we were having our own private dinner party ( for 6) although there we - The vine draped courtyard. The wonderful restoration of a medieval house. Very comfortable beds and quality bed linens. Delicious breakfast in the courtyard. The swimming pool - an unexpected treat. the location - in the heart of the medieval town within walking distance of great cafes. The helpful and accommodating staff. Parking!

  The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful, the area surrounding the hotel was beautiful, the hotel had a pool, quad biking, archery, clay pigeon shooting, archery, bike hire and golf club hire all at very reasonable rates.   We have stayed here before,and found it an excellent over-night stay.Since our last visit, the owners have built a new extention block of rooms below the swimming pool and overlooking the town. These are very well appointed and comfortable, though may be noisy in full occupation. The owners and staff, although with little English, are welcoming, f... o que as pessoas dizem » riendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is first class,although, perhaps, a little pricey to some tastes.Essoyes itself is an interesting litt - Under new management and even better than ever! The restaurant which was very good on our past visits is now excellent and serving superb food at reasonable prices. Try the menu gastronomic @ €46. The selection of (local) champagnes is one of the best we've found in France and not overpriced. Altogether an excellent stopover in a charming small town.
