I stayed 12 nights with my son and grandson. Although we were 3 males we thought the hotel suited our requirements exactly. It was clean, convenient to "life", the metro, walking and some nice restaurants. Mr Didier and Isabelle together with Lenka at the front desk and the other staff made us very welcome and helped us when we needed it. I would highly recommend Hotel Daval an stay there again.
todos opiniões » We stayed in a very good room (small but very nice). We were very well attended, even when we realize that the announcement was booking with items that do not exist in the hotel. For example, with bath. They justified that was incorrect information and we provided one of the breakfasts as courtesy. I recommend it strongly. Everything about the hotel was great. Location is very good and only 5 minutes to the Metro Station. Reception staff were great and always helpful. Rooms were very lovely and renovated. Free WiFi in the rooms were excellent. Location was excellent - close to metro, around a lot of nice restaurants, shopping. While the room is pretty small and nothing special, its super clean and perfect for a weekend if you need great location and comfort stay. It was all good. Didn't spend much time in the hotel. It was centrally located and close to everything we wanted to do. - wifi worked very well - staff was very helpful and friendly and almost everybody spoke good English. Very friendly staff. Clean, affordable, great location. Location was excellent in the Bastille area and close to the gare de Lyon train station. There were many people asking for money nearby. Larger travellers may find the room a little bit small but it was always clean and comfortable. Nothing what I would dislike having the right expectations, for sure you shouldn't try breakfast for 10 eur (we haven't had but I guess it would be the one we would not like) - just very close by there are a lot of nice cafes for a breakfast 2x cheaper and better quality. A little noisy out front. Our room was facing the street. - there was a lot of noise from the street, take earplugs or ask for a room with windows that are not on the street side. - breakfast is a typical french breakfast, so just a bread-roll and croissant with cafe. all this for 9,50€, whereas in an ibis-hotel close by you get a full breakfast buffet for the exact same price... The curtains should be better to block the light in the morning. ...safe in the closet and the entrance door in Room 11 require repairs. Tiny but that's Paris. The room was overpriced and the rooms facing out were loud . Good for going out to enjoy night life but not for sleeping.
