  In planning my wife’s 40th birthday surprise, I looked at many hotels in various areas of Paris, and to be honest it seemed difficult to get something that suited our budget, taste and requirements for a 3 day site seeing visit. We expected bigger room but in comparison to other hotels the room and bathroom were big. We liked it and next would prefer to stay there again. Yes furniture is fine and beds were comfortable :) I would recommend this hotel to my friends!

Compare of these two hotels, another one is with higher price, left bank, very close to Notre Dame and restaurants. But I will choose Le Relais Madelene next time. The first reason is the price.   We enjoyed the lovely decor, comfortable bed and nicely-sized room (recommend the Supreme). The hotel is in a lovely part of the city, very near La Madeleine as well as several designer shops. It is off the beaten path just enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Every staff member we encountered was professional, friendly and accommodating. Fine wine, scrumptious veal and the best crème - The staff were awesome and was always willing to assist us despite the time. I arrived pretty late and they organized a perfect resaurant for us which was fabulous. Typical french restaurant( Tante Louise). If you would like to economise, you probably check another one. I will definately visit it again. What I really appreciated was allowing me to keep my suitcases at the hotel for approximately 3 hrs despite that I had already chech out.
