I traveled through the town of Bourges last year abnd was so facinated by the old city that I wanted to return. I saw the hotel online and it sounded interesting. I reeived an email from the owners questioning if I realy wantted an appartment as that is what i had booked. They have both appartments for longer staying guests, and standard rooms for those staying one or two nights. I was moved into the hotel whih was appointed quite well with period furnishings and a very comfortable bed. I .

You must book to guarantee one of the limited spaces but there is plenty of free parking nearby. we stayed inLles Tours which is up a flight and a half of stairs not a problem for 63 year olds but bear in mind. Good breakfast delivered to room which made a nice change. The renovation has been done very well, and its a real treasure store but still good value an. Stunning place, the buildings are hundreds of years old with an interesting history, beautifully and elegantly decorated throughout, we stayed in the apartment called Les Tours the king size bed (very rare in France) was really comfortable and ample for me and my tall husband and had soft cotton sheets, Filled with real antiques and wine in the fridge on arrival with an amazing view of the Cathedral towers- a true hidden gem, don't tell all your friends or we won't be able to get a room there n. the location was excellent.The owners greeted us warmly. Next morning we thought we had missed breakfast as we were late getting up but we were told we had not. This was a lovely surprise and the breakfast was lovely. The room was wonderful and the bed was very comfortable. Bourge is a beautiful place and a stay at The Hotel de Panette is a must. The hotel had a sense of history; it was made of stone and timber and had a romantic feel. The room was large and inviting and even included a small kitchen. The views from the room were lovely and the shower was large and the water pressure just right. the Rooms where amazing , everthing in the rooms you would need. You can see how hard they have worked to restore this building back to its original state with a modern touch Exceptional view of the Cathedral , will def visit again. Quiet. le tours room was beautiful. very comfy bed, luxurious towels, facility to cook own meal, great after 2 weeks away, central position, friendly staff, garden to sit in. everything was great, the warm welcome, the view of the cathedral from our room, the room itself - and a wonderful breakfast with delicious bread and croissants. The central location in a restored historic building with a magnificent view of Bourges cathedral, and the relaxed, friendly proprietor. Lovely character of rooms, with beautiful high ceilings and windows. Good facilities in apartment, with small kitchenette. In the middle of the historical town. Can't think of a thing. We were very pleased with our stay. But I would like to point out that the apartment is at the top of a very narrow steep flight of stairs and is therefore not suitable for all travellers. Parking in the yard (if required) is through an extremely narrow gate (we didn't). no air con, parking charge. That we had only booked two nights!. Internet connection wasn't as easy to access as I'd have liked and didn't work throughout the apartment. Poor facilities in kitchenette and no tea or coffee provided free, there was a charge for a tea bag or coffee sachet. Very difficult getting into courtyard to park - very narrow streets!. there was nothing not to like!. Parking.
