  Stayed overnight en route from the Dordogne back to the UK. The Chateau is only a few kilometres off the motorway - yet is delightfully quiet. Greeted enthusiastically by the owner who provided a tray of tea for outside. The family dog joined us shortly afterwards and was equally welcoming. The salons for relaxing and the dining / breakfast area we fou - Fabulous location and beautiful Chateaux which has been occupied by the family for many generations. Warm welcome from the hostess and later from the host who joined us for drinks in the library. Delightful dinner cooked especially for us as we were the only guests that evening but we were made to feel "en famille" and made most welcome.   This hotel was very different to most we have stayed at. It was uniquely special. We were effectively welcomed into the owners' home (which is a very grand castle) and treated as a member of their family for the duration of our stay. All of the guests were invited to drink and eat together in the evening. Additionally: - the castle and grounds are... o que as pessoas dizem » beautiful and even better than the pictures. We visited with our small dog, Jasper, and he enjoyed playing in the vast gardens. - the pool area is ve - We were made to feel so welcome by the owners from the moment we arrived until the day of our departure. Wonderful, gourmet food which was plentiful and served by the very friendly staff. We also loved the free flowing drinks in the beautiful lounge area prior to our evening meal and met some lovely people at that time. A stunning chateau hotel and one which we would love to return to.
