I am a true fan of the Opposite House. I stay once a year there, when on Business in Beijing. The staff is very helpful and is happy to take care of many issues, which would cost you a lot of time doing yourself, such as printing business cards etc. The rooms are great, with all facilities you want, nice coffee, great music system, free mini-bar. We thought the staff, Xiao wei and Gu jie, were excellent. They were tremendously helpful to us and very friendly and caring.
It was very close to the main attractions of Beijing but in a very quiet area. We felt very safe.

Best location in Beijing. THe hotel is close to Wangfujing and Tiananmen East subway stops. Hotel is within walking distance to Wangfujing, food market, forbidden city, national museum, tiananmen square. A few stops from the lama temple and temple of heaven. Great atmosphere and great staff - Beautiful courtyard residence in close proximity (walking distance) to the forbidden city and two parks. Very helpful and welcoming staff, completely fluent in English. No need to hesitate with your questions, you can trust their advice and recommendations.
