Rapa Nui is a very remote place, and Kaimana Inn is an ideal place to stay to have this experience. Marcelo and his family are perfect hosts; the meals were fabulous (both at Kaimana in the morning and at their restaurant), the location is excellent (within walking distance to shops, beach, restaurant, Moai), and the rooms were very comfortable with excellent water pressure. Also, there is wifi, and Marcelo makes sure to greet everyone at the airport and get them to their flights with plenty .
todos opiniões » Marcelo's family is the centre of his life and it is a big family, which is how (I think) he is able to make everyone who is staying there feel like you belong. His greeting at the airport was friendly followed by an orientation 'city' tour so you get a feeling for where you are and his one day tour of the island was informative, informal and intimate - numbers limited to those he can fit in his 7seater car. He also took us to places he goes for days out with his family. I had wanted to have ti. Kaimana Inn is a delight. Marcelo, the proprietor, does all he can to ensure you enjoy your stay - whether that be chauffeur, tour guide, chef [he helps with the breakfast], restaurant reservations, and so on. We felt we were part of Marcelo's extended family while we stayed at the Inn. The location of the Kaimana Inn is outstanding, just 100 feet off the main drive with east access to bakery, market, essentials, restaurants, and other shop -- yet quiet and secluded and only short distance fr. The location is perfectly located at the centre of the small town with grocery store and bread store located just right opposite to the hotel. I can feel the warmth of the family who run this hotel during my stay. Marcelo, the owner of this hotel is an extremely helpful and resourceful person who did share a lot of information of this island with me. He also speaks fluent English. Great breakfast is offered for free too! Highly recommended. Kaimana Inn is in a great location, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. Very good breakfast, Airport pick-up and drop-off, Marcelo the owner is a great host, helpful and speaks excellent English. The staff were really friendly and kind! The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was really nice and it was fun to chat with the other guests. Had a great time. Attracted like minded people on a similar budget. Picked me up and dropped me off. Good family spirit. Breakfast delicious! Overall 10/10. The owner Marcelo and hs family were wonderful, made you feel as though you were at home. Owner was very friendly and we felt well looked after during our entire stay. The bathtub is quite slippery. If bathtub mat is provided that would be perfect!. Nothing !. Lack of hot water for showering. Facilities were more basic on Easter Island than in the rest of Chile. That being said, it was part of the charm of staying on such a remote island. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
