Firstly, one needs to compare the day rate between the Empress and the
Inn. The Empress is only a few blocks away, free parking, free wi-fi,
also doesn't have air conditioning....and is almost $300 more a day.
As I didn't need to spend a lot of time in my room, the size
didn't matter. However, security and cleanliness was key and the Inn
met those very well. The restaurant is excellent. The staff very
friendly and helpful. Although there is no elevator, staff will carry

We were a group of 14 people staying in this motel for one night. Everyone in the group was satisfied for the amount we paid. Despite some of the reviews we read before saying that there's a bad smell around, non of us had such an experience. Maybe we were lucky, or the problem has been solved somehow. I had a private room for a really good price, though small I had a fridge and lots of cupboards above the bed. We loved our stay in this hotel! We got a room with a private bathroom, and the room was very comfortable and clean. Hotel's staff was also very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is great - was close to everything we needed in downtown. The price was great too! I highly recommend this hotel and we will stay there again next time we are in Victoria.

That they were helpful in putting our bags behind the counter when we were early for check-in, never gave us a hard time, always available. Very happy with the staff and the overall room. -

I really liked how they stored my suitcase before check in so I could do my work and same thing after I checked out. I didn't have to pack my luggage to a business meeting. Also the convenience of the location being right downtown Victoria almost next to the museum and archives was a tremendous bonus. I liked how they put me in a room on the 14th floor which gave me the best views ever.

Ok People are freaking out way too much about this hotel, probably
travellers who are looking for a luxury resort for very little money.
The place was clean, had good staff, and cheap. I got a king size bed, all to myself :P The staff at night was awesome and made sure everything was safe.

The rooms, although old, were very clean and comfortable. It was within easy walking distance to tourist attractions. The gentleman on the desk was very friendly and knowledgeable about Victoria. An enjoyable stay!
