We loved the adjoining suites for our extended family from out of town, the large TV screens. This place has everything. You don't even have to pull out your laptop! Computer AND PRINTER all in your room. Free laundry on one floor, exercise room, great free breakfast and close enough to walk downtown to the tourist areas. Four or so blocks down side street to Rideau Canal -- great walking site! Will definitely stay here again if I have the pleasure of another trip there.

The front desk and concierge staff were outstanding. We had a problem with the air conditioning. Someone came to look at it and said it was working fully but that the room was not cooling. They gave us keys to another room and said we could have whichever room was the most comfortable.
The beds and pillows are the best. -

One of the quietest rooms I have ever stayed in. Great beds and very spacious. I will stay again for a late arrival into Ottawa as the price was less yet a better hotel than the others that I have stayed at in the past. -

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The every one of the staff members
were incredibly friendly, the valet, front desk, even the janitor! The
location is amazing. You're right downtown Ottawa, parliament hill
is right next door, the byward market is a 2 minute walk away and
you're also right by the rideau mall and numerous museums.

I enjoyed the pool and way it was set up., particularly as it was divided into in essence a shallow and deep pool. Very good for young children. The hot tub was also a great addition. While the water was warm.
I liked the fact that you had two internet connected computers easily accessible.

Having stayed at the Southway a half dozen times in the last ten years, this visit was the best by far--perhaps it has something to do with the change of ownership?? The reception staff were excellent: getting me a coffee while I waited to check-in (the system was down) and then giving me 10% discount vouchers. The same ready and pleasant service

I liked the clean homey atmosphere of the hotel and also the fact that
it is only a 5 min drive to the Casino and race track. Staff were very
helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the Shallows restaurant --- got an upgrade
during the current renovations and appreciated that very much.
