  We loved the ambience! There was a young man playing the sax right under our window when we arrived and it was magical. When we entered the room there was a wood smell from the fireplace. It was heaven!   This is a beautifully-maintained older motel with unusually large comfortable rooms. The owners were polite and helpful. The location is excellent if you do not demand to stay in Victoria's compact and enjoyable center city, This motel is an easy car or bus ride to the most main attractions and next to a mall with a diverse food court. Dennys and at least 2 other restaurants are within 2 blocks. Close to bus stops, but located on a quiet street - no traffic noise at night. Owners very helpful.
