Close to Jasper but felt out in the country. Nice location on the river. Very cozy cottage with nice gas fireplace and kitchenette. Also, we had a schedule change and had to cancel 1 night and change nights stayed. They were very accommodating and although we cancelled less than the 72 hours policy, we were only charged for 1 night and not two. Thank you. We were within such a short drive to all of the beauty in Jasper area. Natural setting, river close by, elk grazing as I got out of car to check into the office. Peaceful and little noise from traffic nearby. Highly recommend this area and the Pine Bungalows. We stayed in a room, not a cabin. Very much the feeling of being away from it all.

Convenience of being just outside of town but in a quiet, private location. Elk walked through the property. Great place if you want to relax and enjoy nature yet have access to all that is available in the Jasper area. The wilderness feel right on the doorstep, elk wandering freely and the sound of the Athabasca River also on the doorstep a 2 minute walk away. Total comfort in their upgraded bungalow. Everything to make our stay perfect. We will return, no need to look for other accommodation in Jasper. So peaceful and beautiful environment. Bungalows spotlessly clean and with all necessary amenities. BBQ facilities give you the option to have dinner right at your door instead of having to dress up again to go to a restaurant. The hotel is very new and very clean and nice. The location is surrounded by the mountains and a river at the back of the property. I would definitely recommend this location. Also very quiet away from the downtown crowd. A wonderful rustic stay in cabins in the woods. It really gave us a feel for a country Canada & our morning & afternoon walks beside the Athabasca River was a highlight as was the nightly outdoor fire. Loved it. The management is very accommodating, friendly, and customer sensitive. The place is the best accommodation in the entire Canadian Rockies for location, ecologically cared for, quality of the rooms and facilities. The fact that elk and other wildlife were right outside our door. Also, although the accomodation was "rustic style", it was all very comfortable with all the ameneties. The hair dryer had awesome power!!!!. The staff are helpful and friendly. The buildings are nice and clean. We had quite a number of neighbors, but it was still quiet and peaceful. Nothing fancy. Plain and simply. No TV or other distractions. Specious, comfortable, and really out in the woods. Woke up one morning to a herd of elk in front of our cabin. Michel was soooo helpful in recommending activities. My favorite spot on our 16 day trip. We loved walking by the river every morning, and spending a little time (slightly) disconnected from all the internet and techno trappings. Requested extra pillow etc, were quickly supplied. Location and independence, closeness to mountains and nature. Down to earth approach, simplicity of accommodation. No TV, no internet, brilliant for a break. Loved the fact that it was off the main strip tucked away in the woods near the river but only minutes from town. It was extremely clean and extremely quiet. No frills but great views. How can you beat having a herd of elk bedding down outside your room?. Location: on the bank of the Athabasca River, woke up to beautiful mountains. Clean, easy to find and not surrounded by other properties. We liked staying in the woods and close to town at the same time. The green philosophy was new to us but it all made sense. The view, the quiet, the river, the walking, didn't see any animals but sure their there, the location away from Jasper. The location was quiet and only couple minutes from downtown. The bungalow we stayed was new and was eco-friendly. I liked being right in the middle of the forest...and being next to the river with a nice view of the mountains. Very comfortable cabins, nicely decorated and with a very nice fireplace. Nice to have a table outside as well. Great place to stay! The real wildlife near Jasper, elks, bears, coyotes, etc. all around! Beautifull chalets. Pine Bungalows offers a very quiet, peaceful retreat while still located conveniently close to Jasper. Other ways to make ecofriendly bungalow: Install water conserving shower heads and faucet heads. Good in environment, elks could been seen around, and the trail beside the river at the back of hotel were also good. Cleanliness of buildings, inside and out. Very quiet and attractive; close to town. Good cabin and comfortable bed. Found the location easily through Google maps!. The location was great and there was plenty of wildlife around the site. Location, the cabins are nice and very quite. Close to nature, short drive to town. I liked the quietness & trails. Quiet, scenery was nice. Staff did not know much about the area. Loved it all. Mosquitos. Bring bug spray. Too far to walk into town. Internet is only available in one location at the camp grounds, but at least you can get it by being in or outside that one building if you want to sit outside and enjoy nature while on the internet. Cabins were very minimally equipped - no wine glasses or grilling equipment, minimal kitchen tools, for example. Cabins are closely spaced so we were awakened early our first morning by a family with a crying child and multiple children playing with whistles. Gotta say, the whistles were annoying though not the fault of the hotel. Lamps over beds, too close to read comfortably in bed. They forgot to leave coffee & sugar for day 2. Kitchen utencils were a little sparse. nothing. people yelling back and forth disturbs others who are trying to relax, they were at the conference area outside. The coffee cup was not change so we have to buy a detergent so we can wash and use it again in the washroom since they it does not have a kitchen area. I stayed in the motel..but having a fire pit area just for the people in the motel would have been nice. Maybe missed a water heater and/or microwave, but no complaints otherwise. It would have been nice to have a kitchenette in the cabin, but not critical. A bit expensive but Jasper seems to be on the expensive side. Wish there was a microwave and TV in the hotel room for that price. In Canmore, AB, I am getting a nice 2 bdrm. condo with full kitchen looking at mountains for the same price! (Banff Boundary Lodge.) I understand that Pine Bungalows is a "back to nature" place....but the price should be considerably lower...like $85 a night, not $115. Not a good value in my opinion. Wish it was pet friendly, at least on an individual approval basis. The fridge was broken. We only stayed one night and there wasn't anything we didn't like. For a longer stay a tv would have been nice as I have a 10 yr old. No kettle or microwave. They claim they are minimalists but when you are forced to drive out for breakfast burning gas, that is not eco friendly. lack of amenities for the price. The stairs to our room. no info when we checked in. It was not busy when we were there, but I think the cabins are too close and that could be a problem in a busy time. Not enough privacy!. Though there's a justification for not having a TV, we felt mostly as if we were forcibly being deprived of watching TV. For example, I watch TV so I can fall asleep. Price seem to be too high. not having a television. Not having a small restaurant or someplace to sit for a beverage or snack. The price was too high for such a small, non-elaborate room. Accommodation is very good but there are some gaps - why have a bar-b-q, yet no crockery or cutlery. Advertises tea and coffee facilities, which are very basic and limited. A great pity really as the infrastructure is great. Laundry facilites are basic and one dryer did not work very well. Not ideal for a short stay. Room was basic and there was no kettle only a coffee maker which made the tea taste funny. I think its a little over price ,but still nice and clean. It also should have a radio. 2 single beds that wouldn't push together (only bed option through bookings), microwave would have been handy or at least a communal one, bit expensive for the price. Not enough kitchen ware (no frypan, serving plates/bowls, no wi-fi, too small. over priced.
