I had an early appt at the Edmonton Clinic and live 3 hours away. It was so nice to be able to have a good nights sleep, get up and walk to my appt and not gave to worry about parking. The staff was excellent. The room was clean.

I had stayed with them before and was pleased to recognize the woman at the front desk from before. It makes you feel more comfortable when you are travelling alone. The other staff were very friendly as well. -

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff were very accomodating, friendly, helpful and courteous at all times. The facility was neat and tidy always and very clean. The rooms are very well kept and the fridge, microwave and coffee pot are always super to have. I would definitely tell our friends to stay at your hotel rather than anywhere else. -

Our family enjoyed the hotel experience. We were only 20 min. drive from W.E. Mall (a very scenic drive). Buffet breakfast was good (included) and the staff were friendly and helpful. You would be a fool to stay anywhere else and pay more money.

It deserve more than 3 stars.
There is superstore and McDonald 24hrs across the street.
There is bus station in front of Tommy Romans just few meters away from the hotel. You can take bus 6 or 80 to reach southgate centre and metro station to take you to the downtown.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We usually stay at the Mettera, which is also on Whyte and owned by the same company. We decided to give the Varscona a try and it was great. I enjoyed their wine and cheese hour that they had for hotel guest and the continental breakfast the next morning was really good. It kind of reminded me of my stay in Sonoma and Napa Valley. Convenient location, comfortable room, quiet, pleasant and helpful front desk staff. The hotel met my needs as I stayed only briefly. If I was planning to stay longer or had small children with me, I would have wanted to have a car, as the hotel is situated in a high traffic, fairly remote location for a pedestrian/bus rider. -

Location was very convenient for my purpose as it is near to the Misericordia Hospital where my husband was having surgery.
Also close to WEM where I could spend time when my husband was in the O.R. -

The place is just infront of Rexall Place. If you love the Oilers then
you really have an advantage being in this hotel.
The rooms are well kept. Very tidy and wide. For 2 Queen rooms for 2 nights you cant go wrong for just $256. Although they never have restaurant inside, the place is pretty close to other restaurants. Edmonton Mall is just 20 min. away.
They need though to improve the following:
1. TV programming. this is additional revenue if it works.
2. Internet connection to be updated.

How quiet my room was. I was close to the elevators and was afraid that noise would keep me up, but I could hardly hear the hallway. The beds were comfortable. I love Best Western pillows. There was coffee in the room and a nice sized TV. Close to lots of shopping, including the West Edmonton Mall. -
I was only here for one night so I didn't do much at the hotel, but the bed (king) was very comfortable and the room was big.
