  I cant speak highly enough of this place. The owner Jeff is extremely friendly and helpful, just a genuinely nice guy. He booked all of our tours for us, gave us great advice and helped us with anything we needed. The day we went to the great barrier reef he even gave us a cooler bag with 4 bottles of water and beach towels. The apartment itself (... o que as pessoas dizem » 2 bedrooms) was beautiful. It was really big and very comfortable. It was spotless and looked brand new. The pool was lovely too and we had a BBQ here - The accommodation was clean and comfortable and having the use of the washing machine was very useful for us. The owner Jeff was very helpful and especially so when we had a problem with one of the excursions we had booked. He sorted it out for us so we were able to enjoy our trip as planned. The apartments are located towards the quieter end of the Esplanade about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the main area, however there are one or two eateries locally plus a convenience store.   Very good location, beautiful view facing the inlet wharf. Quiet but very close to woolworth, restaurants and gift shops. The room was thougtfully set up with full kitchen equipments as well as basic condiments and utensiles. Free wifi. The room and towels were very clean. They are always helpful and responsive to any que - We stayed at the Jack & Newell for three nights in a 3 bed apartment in Nov 2013. The apartment was huge, modern décor, well cleaned and maintained. As well as the pool facilities. The property is located just a few streets over from the CBD, the pier, the marina and the casino! David the manager was a great guy and went out of his way to provide advise on tours etc to make our trip successful. Would certainly recommend this property to anyone considering staying in Cairns.

  I was surprised at how modern the inside decor and furniture was. Very clean with everything a person would want for a long family stay. We unfortunately only stayed one night but we were very happy to have the convenience of been able to wash our clothes overnight! - central, spacious, value for money, accessible.   Was not expecting too much when I booked here. However, I was extremely surprised and impressed with the 2 bedroom apartment right outside the swimming pool. The unit didn't have a water view. But we could see enough from the pool. Unfortunately we only stayed one night. Had a teenager and 7yr old with us.   The reception staff/owners were so incredibly polite and helpful and the hotel had a really homely feel as soon as you stepped inside with a lovely smell and free cakes to pick up at times. The room was very spacious with a lovely balcony and the bathroom was a very good size with a shower which is easily the best I've ever used at any hotel!   We stayed in a 4th floor apartment that two bedrooms. The main bedroom had its own en-suite with shower, spa and toilet. There was a second bathroom with shower & toilet next to the second bedroom. I would recommend 181 to anyone, and I would stay there again in the future. - 181 Located just far enough away from the busy esplanade area too relax and enjoy the awesome weather and food Cairns has to offer. The apartments are large and spacious and met all our requirements. The owners were of great assistance with our daily activity's and knowledge of the area. We have no hesitation in returning.
