Loved our stay. We live only about 30 mins. north of San Diego and try to stay at the West Gate at least twice a year. It is like being on a vacation even though we are residents. Absolutely love staying downtown. -

Hotel accomodations and staff were outstanding overall. Free parking and
wifi were a huge plus!! Other hotels wanted $45 per day for parking and

This is the best Hotel in the area from what we saw. The view was the best. We started in a "partial view" suite which was more of a full view. We upgraded to the "Presidential suite" which was a full view and a step up in luxury. Suite is really comfortable especially for longer stays like 7 nights.The free parking were good. The complimentary coffee/tea in the foyer/reception were really a big benefit. Breakfast is very good.Free WiFi the best! -

Everything! I was blown away with the beauty of the lobby! The staff was wonderful, our room was fantastic, (corner king), the food was good (pulled pork was best I've had in ages!), and the views were gorgeous. I loved how close it was to so many areas of SD. The pool area (with the firepits at night!) looked wonderful, but it was so windy so we didn't stay. I also loved the old pictures throughout the hotel. If you are from SD it was particularly super to see them.

This is a beautiful hotel and are the rooms are super comfortable and
spacious. The location is excellent (right next to the baseball field)
and close to the Gaslamp District. The wifi was fast and there were

It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We looked everywhere for a place to stay and were so glad we choose this location. Staff was wonderful and extremely helpful! The full breakfast each morning was an added perk! -
