It was better than I expected. I was expecting a nice, clean, modern budget freindly hotel. the rate was only 179 per night which is cheap by nyc standards no matter what part of the city you're in. Liked the green glass serenity in bustling China Town and the wall of
windows looking out at New York. The rooms are compact but luxurious,
the bathrooms are huge. Everything is still shiny and new and
it's a bargain. The location is fantastic for those who want to
explore downtown from the wtc to China Town to Soho and the Village.
It's surrounded by lighting stores, restaurant supply outlets and
Chinese restaurants and stands. It's still a bustling ethnic part
of New York. And you can retreat

Great hotel and good value for money. We stayed with 4 people in a room and it was good sized. The room was very clean and the location is quite good. It was our first time with my friend in New York and the hotel was perfect for us as it was 10 minutes walk to time square. We would walk easily from time square to the hotel after 12am.

This hotel was awesome!!! Four forty-somethings met for our annual 'girls weekend' and were unsure about the hotel, since we booked online. We had an apartment reserved that fell through at the last minute and in a panic we found the Intercontinental online and we were so happy. We could not believe how clean and beautiful this hotel was the conceirge and doormen were wonderfully helpful. Great restaurant recommendations, etc. We will definitely stay again. This hotel is almost so perfect, so it becomes in fact boring. How is that five star hotels still can't understand to threat guest as individuals? When you have answered the same standard questions if everything is great a hundreds times from every staff in just a four day short visit, it becomes less funny. Different individuals are intresting, perfect robotized hotels are not.
