The location was excellent and such an attractive lobby and entrance.
Like most big city hotels, the staff are not very friendly or helpful. No tea or coffee making facilities. The rooms are not very well sound proofed as we had several sleepless nights around Thanksgiving, because of noisy, poorly parented kids in adjacent rooms.

We visited New York to celebrate a birthday. Excellent location. Everyone at the Palace was attentive to our needs and acknowledged the birthday! We'll definitely stay at the Palace on future visits to New York
Hotel is beautiful, reataurant, bar and coffee shop 5 stars, staff courteous and excellent, room spacious and clean, location perfect. Even though there was construction on the street, the staff was always outside to help with luggage and call cabs, and room service was quick.Will definitely stay again.

The very expensive wifi charge and also very poor that there is no coffee available in the rooms. Considering the room charge this seemed very unreasonable.
Excellent Location & good size Rooms
The electrice at the room was Turing off and on automatically. I reporter to the reception no action has been taken. Moreover I couldn't sleep will during my stay. The light always on.

Beautiful hotel and great location
Due to United nations General Assembly is progress the security was ridiculously tight. The hotel should have informed us at the time of booking and we would have come the following week. It spoiled our stay.
The location of the hotel was great and our refurbished rooms were excellent.
Because of various promotional events in the hotel the hotel bars were not open to the general residents.
The location is super-fine, especially for visitors of NYC for the first time. Everything is very close and convenient (Rockefeller center, Times square, central park, and the 5th ave).

If you Are looking for a Hotel in walking distance to 5th Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Times Square(even the meatpackingdistrict for those who likes a longer walk) shopping and restaurants, this hotel has the perfect location. The staff in this hotel are very professional and healpful, the Congergie are extremly professoional and fantastic people, helping you out with all you need to know and go. The room we got was beautiful with a great view. I would love to stay here another time.

Excellent location. Could not be better. Hotel rooms were excellent and spacious and beds really comfortable.
Theatre Shuttle bus offered by hotel to Broadway. Driver dropped us off at wrong location as did not know his way around theatre district and somewhat rude about it. Would have been less hassle to walk to the show.

Wonderful staff - from the minute we arrived to our departure they could not do enough for us - lovely atmosphere at the hotel, serene and calming, excellent housekeeping also.

The hotel is in a great location. A block away from 51st and lexington subway station or 10 minutes walk to grand central/42nd st station. This is also a block away from the 5th Ave. From 5th Ave you can walk for 10 minutes and you'll get to Central Park. St Patrick's Cathedral is also across the street from the hotel. We were there to watch the us Open so it was very convenient to walk to Grand Central Station and take the 7 train to the Flushing Meadows. Brian, who helped us with our bags when we arrived and when we left was just great! The room they gave us was at the 28th floor and overlooking the St. Patrick's Cathedral. Thank you again for granting my request. My mom was really impressed and enjoyed her stay in your hotel. Overall the hotel is just superb!
The hotel was still under renovation (but will be finished in two weeks according to one of the staff we chatted with). When we arrived the front entrance from Madison Ave. Was closed but after a day they opened this entrance already. There were no restaurants operating because of the renovations although there were a lot of good ones in the area.

I am not sure why there is no kettle in the room...but it is not a big deal :)
