  Loved our stay. We live only about 30 mins. north of San Diego and try to stay at the West Gate at least twice a year. It is like being on a vacation even though we are residents. I loved how close it was to so many areas of SD. The pool area (with the firepits at night!) looked wonderful, but it was so windy so we didn't stay. I also loved the old pictures throughout the hotel. If you are from SD it was particularly super to see them.

  Best value!!!! I loved having the restaurant on the same floor as our room. We visited happy hour and drank their signature cocktails for only $5 each!
