Convenient to conference venue, quiet, good view, lots of restaurants
in a walkable / billable area. Loved having a bike share right
behind the hotel! Metro shuttle was great, airport shuttle, too. Staff

Free shuttle from airport to/from hotel every 20 min. Free shuttle
from hotel to the Metro every 18 min. The Metro is a low price, clean
and safe subway/train service. Breakfast was free buffet- style that
was clean, hot and pleasing to eat(not gourmet style but plain). You
should have no complaints from kids who won't eat "green"
or "spicy" food.

Staff was professional and friendly, very accommodating. The one bedroom suite was great. The cleaning staff kept it very clean. We did not need their services on a daily basis but when we did, their service was excellent. Our stay was 7 days. The hotel is new and very well designed. The shuttle ran every 20 minutes providing access to shops, restaurants, and even a grocery store was on the route. It was a wonderful week for us we will definitely stay there again.

en route to Hawaii. Given room upgrade not quite a suite but corner room views both ways. Biggest chocolate strawberrys/and cake and cream ive ever seen as a special gesture and free. staff and conciege extra polite and helpful.As previous comments this is a luxury standard by which all others should be judged the besr hotel we have stayed in and weve stayed in some top ones. the hotel is steeped in history take the trouble to enquire????

I stayed at the hotel with my 18 year old son, both of us thought the Melrose was a very good hotel with large very comfortable rooms. The location was very good 15 min walk to the Lincoln Memorial or White House and only 5 min to Georgetown or the Metro. This hotel was wonderful. Seck took great care to always make you feel
you were at home. The room was large enough for our 3 teenage/adult
children and us. The kitchen was nice and convenient for breakfasts
