A great location on Bootham Terrace. Only minutes from centre of York. The apartment contains all one would require for a stay. It was large enough for four persons without getting in each others way. Elevator to the apartment was a bonus and good security. The parking permit was well worth it as we left the car for three days as you will not need

This is a quaint hotel. Best accessible via car. However, easy accessvia bus. Should indicate bus route from downtown. Place is veryclean,beds are very comfortable. Good value for the money. Location ifnear downtown, there is a cute pub across from the hotel.If at all,buses run frequently which is more accessible via bus than by car.Highlyrecommend

The rooms were comfortable and exactly what we needed for our short trip. Great location for getting to York, the park and ride is only two minutes drive away.

It was close to city centre, about 15 minutes walk. Cute little room with a comfy bed. Not a lot of frills, but didn't feel like anything I needed was really lacking. Had a cozy inn kind of feel to it. The staff was very nice and let us keep our car in the car park after we checked out so we could wander the city a bit. -

Blown away by the plush, stylish apartment. We visited York with my parents & this 2-bedroom apartment suited us much better than two separate hotel rooms, as it provided a social space (kitchen, dining table, sofas and TV)
Incredibly convenient for walking to key places in York; train station, the Shambles, the Minster and, highlight of the trip for my husband, the National Rail Museum.
The lovely Heather at reception is also wonderfully helpful :)

Location, near a gate to the old city and very close to shops, as the main reason for our visit was to do our Christmas shopping. Accurate, detailed instructions for finding the apartment were easy to follow. Also the small problem we had with the kitchen lighting was dealt with very promptly, effectively and courteously. The apartment was warm and cosy and suited our needs very well.

I have a gluten allergy and when I informed the reception I was promised a gluten free breakfast i.e. sausage, bread. The next day at breakfast I asked for gluten free bread and sausage and was told there wasn't any, when I later saw the receptionist and told her she was extremely apologetic and assured me there would be at least bread for my bre

Marmadukes is a fabulous hotel. We have been coming here annually since 2006 and have stayed in most of the room styles. However, this latest trip was particularly memorable as we received a free upgrade on arrival to the York Suite. It was stunning. And to think we had the whole of the suite for the same price as our original booking was a great touch. Staff at the hotel are lovely - friendly, accomodating and always on hand to offer advice or book a taxi. Location is ideal, in a leafy street

What a delicious, quirky, hidden find! Location was central only yards from York Minster. Staff were extremely helpful and it was excellent. Would certainly recommend. We had a fantastic time and are definitely going back. The owners are brilliant and went out if their way to help and friendly. 10 out of 10 from me

Spacious apartment with a comfortable sitting area and excellent kitchen. Easy to enter provided you read the email instructions and follow them. Has a lift. Excellent views of Minster. Very close to all of York's tourist attractions. Next door to a supermarket. -
