They also has great suggestions for child-friendly places to eat and a wonderful location where we could walk wherever we wanted to go. fantastic place to stay,ran by lovely couple Steve & Gail.
after a long journey our exhaust bracket on car had snapped,while Gail showed us to our room Steve strapped exhaust up to get us home after our stay.

Loved everything about our stay here. Really friendly and helpful staff who are all a credit to the hotel. Room had great view across to the lake. Large comfy bed, loads of storage space, hot and powerful shower, huge bath towels and more. Would definitely recommend evening meal at hotel. Food cooked to order so served fresh and hot. The hotel communal areas and our room were spotlessly clean and well decorated. Lovely room overlooking the rear gardens. Breakfast was exceptional due to the choice and flexibility of options available. Owners and staff were friendly, but left you to your own devices, which was good. Option to order champagne for the room on arrival, which we did!

I am a wheelchair user (complete paraplegic) and found the access to be excellent. I would go as far to say that Meadowcroft is probably one of the best places I've stayed for disabled room facilities. The option to book a disabled room from the website is a very good touch, I usually have to phone ahead to confirm that the room is appropriate for my needs and available, which this function eleviated, if only other sites/hotels did this.
The room was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean.
