He rang me the night before to ask if we wanted a reservation made at a local restaurant which he did for us, then he even gave us a lift to the restaurant. What we had thought of as a mere room and bed turned out to be a most wonderful experience. Calderscroft really is a boutique bed and breakfast.   The staff were excellent: friendly, welcoming, accommodating, informative. Breakfast was good quality. The room deal we got was also excellent value for money.
