staff were helpful and friendly, hotel was very clean including rooms and modern with all you needed in them. room 108 has double and a single bed, sea view and very lovely inside. breakfast was excellent and served to your table, good location for sea view, short 10 min walk to bus stops for town and other areas. good value for money, a nice 3 star hotel and would go back. me, my 5 year old daughter and my mother stayed 3 nights, pools is great as has a shallow bit for kids, bit cool but ok

Lovely warm welcome. We appreciated the help with our luggage to our room (elderly couple). Soon we were offered refreshment in front garden. The staff were extremely helpful to me and my small children. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the children feel special over and beyond the call of duty. The hotel was clean and well presented and excellent value for money. Being a single parent with two small children I find that most hotels leave us to our own devices which can be a little daunting. Gary was very helpful and totally understood the need to accommodate needs of guests like myself.

All the staff were excellent and welcoming. The entrance, bar and lounge have been recently renovated and look far better than 7 years ago when I last stayed here. The lift is ‘Quirky’ with a certain old fashioned charm. Redecoration has just started on the staircase (Nov 2013) and I am sure it will be better for the work. The location for shopping is excellent and the hotel has its own secure underground car park, although it is a short walk from the hotel. The food is the best in Scarborough.

Everything ! The whole hotel is immaculate and incredibly clean. Without doubt the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms are well specified with neat touches like a combi DVD / TV and scented candles. Hosts are very friendly and are very keen to help and ensure everybody gets what they need out of their stay be it local info or just a relaxing time. The food is of a very high standard and t,well presented. Service is first class. There was lots of choices of different breakfasts available

Though some of the corridors had that slightly battered look of many
older seaside hotels, the bedroom was very comfortable and the public
rooms most attractive. The bathroom was a decent size and well equipped.
Breakfast was excellent: buffet breakfasts certainly have their
advantages, but it was a pleasant change to be served by attentive staff
from a generous menu with a great view of the South Bay.
