Being a lone female traveller I am always careful about where I stay. I picked The White Horse because of the good reviews it had and I wasn't disappointed. Lovely welcoming and accommodating staff; a room that was quiet, comfortable, spacious and with a fabulous shower (not to mention Molton Brown toiletries); a quaint little restaurant (make sure you book for dinner); good location with easy parking off road. Very little to fault!

Location was perfect for what I wanted to do. Room was a perfect size. Other hotels could not compete with the price I got. - Very comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Excellent menu, well prepared food. Very pleasant grounds.

My daughter married at the hotel. The building itself is a lovely venue but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, plus the quality of the meal really help make it a very special occasion. I really enjoyed my one night break here. When I arrived, all reception
staff were occupied but my presence was acknowledged and I was checked
in efficiently. My room was on the top floor, small but a nice size for

I stayed here for business. The room was clean and tidy, nice little biscuits with tea/coffee etc.
Yes the hotel is slightly tired, but in a quaint way, felt very homely and personal, much like the staff, very helpful and polite.
The broadband is quite limiting, many words are banned. even sensible ones that I needed for work, but not a real issue.
Breakfast was excellent & service quick and friendly, a good choice of hot & cold.
