Much has been written about Ardtorna already, and when we arrived the
welcoming and gracious owners had just returned from picking up another
"best of..." award. We only stayed one night, but it was our
best night's sleep in Scotland, which speaks for the bed and

A very luxurious location with outstanding views. Karen And Sean make you very welcome and nothing is too much in helping you enjoy you enjoy stay.Accommodation is excellent and great attention to detail has been made in providing great comfort in the bed, bath linen and room standards. The breakfast offer is amazing with 15 options, all of which are well thought through and mouth watering. A fantastic bed and breakfast and worthy of its 5 star rating and award winning food award.

Stellar, friendly, helpful hosts (thanks Mark & Jan!), fab room with stain glass window and breath-taking view of the sea and promenade, Mark's Scottish Breakfast utterly delicious, lovely attention to detail including snifter of sherry, great location next door to beautiful ruin (Dunollie Castle) we will come back. Chief highlight of our three week Scottish tour was Oban in general and the Barriemore in particular.

Liked everything about this place. It was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent - this was the only b&b that did not have separate breakfast tables and it was great because it was a good opportunity to interact with other guests. Kirsty was an excellent host.

The house has been renovated 2 years ago and everything looks brand new. The interior decoration is lovely practical and beautiful. The in-house restaurant is excellent. Even though the house is close to the A82 it was absolutely quiet at night and as the beds are comfortable, you can have a deep recreative sleep. Overall impression: breathtaking!

Our room was nicely decorated, cozy, clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed our evening meal in the hotel restaurant, although thought that a tablecloth was necessary. We appreciated being allowed to leave our car in the hotel parking lot while we took a 5 hour hike in the area. Luss was a great place to start our holiday in Scotland.

A real find. Wonderful; building sympathetically restored. Staff friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and clearly proud of their surroundings. Our room (no. 2) was lovely, contemporary furnishings complimenting the period features very well indeed. Bathroom a little small, but, given the building's constraints, this was entirely understandable.

Nothing is too much trouble,their hotel is maintained to a very high standard and the food is at least equal to any 4* hotel.

Staff were very friendly and looked after our luggage, as we arrived too early. We then went to Inverary and looked around the castle. They even took the bags upstairs before we came back. Room was quirky and lovely. Bathroom too. Breakfast had cereal, fruit, full cooked Scottish breakfast, toast and fish. Plenty to eat. Nice view from restaurant. Also have garden to sit in.

Very nice stay in Hawthorn Cottage for 3 nights, we booked the cottage
with garden view, so you have a little house with 2 bedrooms, kitchen

The location is fantastic - I've never had such a beautiful view from a hotel window before! We sat on the balcony for hours wrapped in our blankets, enjoying our (complementary!) hot chocolates and biscuits. The rooms are lovely and large, the staff are helpful and friendly, the breakfast was very nice, and the lounge area was comfortable and relaxing. I'm only sadder that we weren't able to stay longer - will definitely be back!

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night with my wife and another couple
& found that it ticked all the boxes, Clean, Tidy, and the
proprietors both Roger & Lori were helpful & friendly. They
have put a lot of hard work in bringing a shell of a property back to
life again. The hotel is situated in a lovely spot along side the
harbour inlet. I will be using this hotel in the future when in that
area on business from now on.
