  Great location not a very long walk from the centre, very friendly and helpfull staff, clean nice warm rooms! - really pleasant place and nice staff. Excellent service and very good scottish breakfast!

  I highly recommend Caravel Guest House. It’s located in the centre of the New Town close to the railway station and the shopping area. The rooms are cozy and the toilets are very clean. For the price you pbly won't find a more original B&B. It is nicely situated, though closer to New Town so that you have to walk a bit to get to Old Town. The breakfast is nice if you take the cooked breakfast. We'll stay there again if we go back to Edinburgh.

  I would highly recommend this Guest House. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The vegetarian breakfast was deliciously unusual, I had a banana and burnt syrup pancake. I was very kindly given a plateful of food as I had mentioned that I have a long train journey ahead of me.   I am from Edinburgh so am familier with the area and new that it was on the outer limits of the city centre. But I walked from there into town on Sunday morning pulling a suitcase and it wasn't far atall. Even with sore feet from the night before! The staff were friendly and very helpful. The wiifii access is quite fast and the access code is in a drawer. Wasn't told - This is a charming small hotel, easy walking distance to City Centre. It has a comfortable little bar,reasonably priced, didn't sample the bar food but if the breakfast is anything to go by I'm sure it'll be excellent, as was the breakfast -freshly cooked to order, as much tea/coffee and toast as you want. The room was spotless, freshly decorated and beds comfortable,the bathroom was spotless too - good shower.Parking for a few cars on site. I will definitely use this hotel again.
