I'm on gluten free diet - had no problems whatsoever. The chef even amended the Valentine's Day menu in the Grill Room. All the staff were exceptionally helpful. The rooftop hyropool was wonderful. - The upgrade to our room was very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly.

This hotel is like my view of an old hotel should be steeped in history and splendour. The staff were extremely helpful and we enjoyed being in the surroundings of the old part of the hotel. It had character as well as having modern facilties. apartment was fantastic, new, good layout, good facilities and amenities. location was ok - a good 20 min walk to the heart of the shopping district and royal mile and quite a walk to a supermarket. This is a B&B we will return to. At a perfect spot in “Edinburgh new town”, in the middle of shopping and restaurant areas. The building originally from early 19th century is well preserved and nicely taken to the 21st. The top floor stairs is old and torn but so full of charms. Nice rooms in harmony with building, furniture and facilities. Run by friendly owners and an adorable old cat watching the lounge. Good WI-FI. Breakfast is served at neighbouring Rick’s Hotel, really good.

Friendly staff & room (No,10) was clean, bright & comfortable with nice touches to enhance its ambience (sweets, tea/coffee & cushions on the bed). The hotel is located above the Rick's bar and restaurant. However, the noises won't reach the rooms. The room is a bit compact but cosy enough. There are a wide range of drinks that could be chosen in the minibar of the room. And breakfast could also be ordered from the restaurant below. The location is good which is not far from the castle.

attentive allowing us to check in early and assigning us to a fab room.
The room was spacious bright and colourful with lots of lovely added
extras including free movies,mini bar drinks, robes and slippers. We
also had a massage each in the spa centre which was fantastic. The
location is more than you could ask for- everything on the doorstep!!

Rooms were comfortable and clean and the kitchen was stocked with basic essentials. Parking was great too. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definately use this apartment/hotel complex again. - The apartment was lovely, and the staff were very helpful, allowing is into our rooms early so that we could get ready for a wedding. I made several calls prior the trip to ensure that we could get a high chair and cot for our baby and the staff remembered me and were very friendly.

be brand new. Very warm in fact almost to warm we ended up sleeping with

Brilliant location for the Fringe festival and town etc.
The bed was so comfortable and duvet and pillows gorgeous - a real treat. Everything we wanted to feel home from home with a modern edge. Will definitely be staying again but will book for longer next time!
