The room was clean, practical, and with hints of romance in the high ceilings, crown moulding, and rich red heavy curtains.
The tea and biscuits were replenished daily, our needs were anticipated and met. It felt private enough to feel like you were coming "home".
The staff were very knowledgeable about bus routes and tourist spots etc.

Breakfast was served either between 8-9 or 9-10, and we would have enjoyed a bit more flexibility with those times as it determined when we woke up.
Pillows a little hard and quilt not quite wide enough for two people, but a comfy bed.
Admittedly a double room but
with a bathroom in it !
