I have never before bothered to write a review, not least because I travel a great deal. However, I would like to offer the highest possible praise for the Peak Edge Hotel and its staff. They are consummate professionals, very competent and friendly. We stayed there last weekend to attend a wedding and the manager and his staff went out of their way to save the day which had been thrown into chaos because of the heavy snow. Not charging a dime the manager rallied his mates in their 4x4s to s.
wszystkie opinie » Lovely hotel! I honestly didn't expect that much, as I travel A LOT for business and am rather immune to hotels.... It is clean and well fitted.... the bath was gorgeous and the staff couldn't have been friendlier! We felt a bit underdressed for dinner at the "Pub"... it's really more of a restaurant, but very nice food. Beautiful location, even saw a peacock just outside our bedroom window in the AM! Would definitely come back. Beautiful location. Boutique style accomodation with comfortable, stylish and spacious rooms. Wonderfully accomodating staff with just the right amount of warmth and panache. Spacious, yet cosy bar with real fire and well stocked bar. Delicious food served in the Bistro, beautifully cooked & presented at both the evening and breakfast meals. My partner & I will return - absolutely & without hesitation. From the moment of arrival until we left, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We liked the room, the food and the bar area. The dinner was of exceptional value considering the quality of cooking. The breakfast was good too. Nothing let it down. Who does the training? They should be congratulated. We liked the outfits your teams wore. Lovely quiet setting. Spacious and comfortable room. Fab large bath and shower. Breakfast selection very good and quality of food excellent. Staff very attentive and professional. Interior of the bistro gorgeous, made even more special with all the Xmas trees and decorations up. Highly recommended and really hope to return in the near future. The Peak Edge Hotel is in a beautiful setting in the countryside only a short drive to the Chatsworth estate. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are luxurious and clean. The staff are extremely cordial and helpful, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. The signage did seem to go with the general high quality of the Hotel, but that is only a minor point. "Nothing to not like!". Nothing at all. Everything was just perfect!. Just a little niggle of mine, is that they don't supply face cloths in the bathroom. Nothing. Nothing. No fridge in the room. Bathroom fan noisy. Absolutely nothing, it was perfect. we had the most expensive suite,but it looked over the car park and not the surrounding view as expected. Very noisy late at night when there was a wedding on.I complained and was given a reduced room rate and a bottle of bubbly(very fair I thought) Restaurant staff seemed inexperienced,but didn't stop the enjoyment of an excellent meal. Our stay wasn't long enough!. Didnt know in advance that Chatsworth House is closed until end of March! A few extras in the room such as a digital radio / iPod dock and better toiletries range would have tipped balance into 'excellence'. There was nothing we did not like!. Noisy air con unit - I turned it off in the end The shower - so much promise yet so little delivery - very weak flow Food - I was served a side salad with rotten tomatoes!. Restaurant area a little cold. The ONLY minor niggle was the pillows were too soft.....my girlfriend liked them though, so it's purely a personal taste thing!. Nothing !!. nothing. The toilet roll was cheap and really shabby. Rooms a bit warm. Lights in room very dingy hard to see to put make-up on. Restaurant - service a bit slow, especially at breakfast. I felt the food was not up to the standard of the hotel and my special diet needs were not always met. Not much!. Nothing. Dinner was not upto the same standard as breakfast. Lighting in the room was a bit dull. The ceiling spotlights were insufficient due to room size. Could have done with a couple of armchairs in the room. nothing. lighting a bit dim in the room, but a very small negative in what was a fabulous room with a lovely view. I felt you didn't get value for money with regards to wine selection. I've tasted much better wine for less cost. But the food provided for the evening was certainly not up to the standard of the meal in the restaurant the night before which was good. Not much choice for evening meals. Perhaps a range of bar food could be .introduced. nothing to dislike. Staff in Restaurant a little surley Food a bit on the expensive side for a pub attached to the hotel. Small portions but nicely cooked and presented. Service in restaurant was friendly but chaotic. Having to go home.
