Our host was very polite, he was helping us from the beginning with bringing our suitcases (we were 5 girls so it was not easy to carry all our staff:)), everything what we asked him, he was explaining and double checking afterwards to give us more information. The stuff was very kind, Murat, the owner, was very helpful, give us all needed information. We stayed 5 persons in two bedroom apartment, and the apartment was very comfortable, clean. It is great for young people, close to istikal street, taksim, all good location to see and visit. We definetly would stay in this hotel.

  A brand new property with very helpful and genuinely earnest staff. The rate is excellent at the moment too for a hotel of this high quality. A small but very nice indoor pool and spa area are a great bonus after a long hot day. The facilities are simply superb, the staff extremely friendly, courteous and very helpful. A very relaxed atmosphere.   The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
