The whole experience in Family House @ Pai was fantastic! Tidy, neat and comfortable environment, convenient location to the main street, friendly owners and staff, wonderful breakfast (both western and thai). No other hotel/accommodation can provide the same in Pai. most important the individual house gave us safe feeling, especially for those who are the first time visiting such beautiful countryside. We only stayed there for two nights and it would be great if we can stay longer in Pai and .

But the reviews were so goo, that we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The hotel is charming, the rooms are great, very nice. it is 2 minutes walking from the charming city center. Alhtough all hotels we booked during this trip had a pool, this was the first one where we actually got in the pool. The pool is in the cutest garden, so well taken care of, with . A stunning 13-room boutique hotel in beautiful grounds. We arrived and immediately tried to re-arrange our trip to stay an extra night. It's a perfect place to stay in Pai - just minutes walk from the main road but so quiet. The room was very nice, very stylish, smart and clean. The pool and gardens are beautiful and the staff couldn't have been nicer, more helpful or more welcoming. We'd love to go back and stay again. Pai is a great little town and Family House is a perfect place to stay. We love family house! We have been travelling for 9 months, this is the best place we've stayed!! We got engaged here aswel :) It's a romantic place with cute bungalows. HBO movies on the tv for rainy days, good food, great staff, close to walking street. We stayed longer than planned. Very sad to leave! Felt like home :). The family is very friendly and helpful. The cottages are clean. The beds are excellent. The bath is clean and roomy. Swimming pool was great for the children. It is very quiet at night. The location is very convenient to the walking street in Pai and next to the small river. Wonderful mountain views from dining sala. Beyond expectation! The hotel was out of town which made it very peaceful yet within a two minute walk the high street could be reached on foot. Anyway I will not recommend this hotel because too expensive compared to other hotels/bungalows/guesthouses that you can find in Pai (200/300 bath average good accomodation -fan) and you can have a huge public swimming pool round the corner. Located just meters away from the town's center, when the shuttle from Chiang Mai drops you off. The place has a nice small pool with externally nice two rows of cottages. The only thing i would say, is that an English speaking reception would have helped. But this is not really a complain, because even thought their English was very limited, they were very friendly and always willing to help. Nothing at all!!!!. The description of the cottages includes a "mini bar." I would assume this indicates a fridge but there is not one. A selection of coffee and tea with hot water kettle is providd. But there is no place to plug in the kettle except on the floor. Take an extension cord. But this is true of most Thai hotels...always take an extension cord. But this is a minor complaint give the overall excellence of the little resort. Mosquito, but i don't think it's the hotel's responsibility... only thing i feel a little discomfort is the hot water runs too little at night and couldn't have a warm shower. yet i find this is quite common in most Chiangmai hotels. so this can be ignored:). Clean bathroom , but smell so bad!. nothing. could add a small refrigerator. Would make it perfect!. There really isn't anything I didn't like. There's lots of little ants on the porch and the bathroom, but that is indicative of the environment. I don't think there's any way to control it. Cold nights. No heat. Nothing really... the check in time maybe too late, if change to 12:00am will be better than 2:00pm. The breakfast was not full. The swimming pool is really small. The swimming pool's floor is not good as my family member was hurt when he walking down the pool stair. Nothing. A little bit expensive compared to competitors, but justifiably so considering how nice the rooms were. Nothing. The swimming pool shouldn't be called like that, as it is a very tiny hole with water in it. You don't have the space for swim because it is too small. Demand 3% extra fee when paying via credit card, although we had a rate guarantee from letsbookhotel.com. Bathroom isn't built in the standard this place is wishing to be. No separation and when you use the shower you get all the place wet, with no effective floor design to direct all the water into the sewer hole. This causes the bathroom to be flooded as soon as used for the first time. Double bed - two single mattresses put together. No hand towels were supplied (only 1 big towel per person).
