  The staff were immediately welcoming when I dropped off my bag on my way to a meeting on arrival in Basel. The room had windows to open at night (many hotels have sealed windows). The location was perfect thanks to the map on your booking website. I choose this hotel again next time - well presented room, nice and light, good breakfast, able to check in early, very handy for tram into city (3 francs, 10 mins), good selection of shops, bars and cafes right next to hotel, river and picnic area 3 mins walk
